UPDATE: November 30, 2025: Right now we're waiting for the remaining candidate locations to open reservations for October 2026 so we can nail down our final total agenda for the weekend. We will update you via our email newsletter as soon as things are finalized!
We're zeroing in on the details for our upcoming reunion and here is what's set up so far.
Our reunion dinner will be at the Doubletree Ontario Airport, 222 N Vineyard Ave from 5:00PM to 9:30PM, October 24, 2026.
A special hotel rate will be available for out-of-town classmates (stand by!).
The menu is currently set as follows. We also have special plates if you're Vegan or Gluten Free.
Starter:
- Big Bear Salad - mixed greens, sliced cucumber, cherry tomato, croutons, creamy balsamic vinaigrette (V)
Choice of:
- Rosemary Chicken - rosemary infused chicken, sautéed leeks, herb fingerling potatoes, green beans, roasted carrot
or
- Grilled Flat Iron Steak - fresh herbs, red wine jus de veau, roasted sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts
or
- Wild Mushroom Ravioli - porcini and Portobella mushroom blend stuffed ravioli, feta cream, sautéed tomato and spinach (V)
And for Dessert:
- New York Cheesecake - Cream Cheese Filling, Flaky Graham Cracker Crust, Fresh Raspberry Sauce
We're still working on the budget but we think the price for the dinner will be $50 to $60.
On Sunday October 25, 2026, Sue Coes again volunteered her lovely home and yard for our wrap up lunch from 1:00 to 5:00PM. We're exploring catering options, but a top candidate is the highly rated Mule Car Smokehouse (with Veg and Vegan options, plus Gluten Free for those who need it).
We're scheduling a Campus tour for Saturday and possible Vince's Lunch for Friday. The football schedule isn't released yet, so we don't know if there will be a home game that day. We're also looking into a Happy Hour at JD Allison's. We're also planning some surprise add-ons.
Many of our classmates agree that this will probably be the last "big" reunion we are able to hold as we're all getting up there in years. So we're looking to use up most of the funds leftover from past reunions to keep costs for this one down and give attendance scholarships to those in need.
Future reunions will very likely be much smaller, less formal gatherings. Many of the other classes from our Era have stopped holding big reunions all together and the remaining ones are quite small affairs. As a result we probably won't charge for tickets to Sue's wrap-up lunch or many of the other scheduled events. But stay tuned for further information!
As usual if you have any suggestions, comments, recommendations, etc. Please shoot them over to our reunion chairman, Bill Finkelstein at This email address is being protected from spambots.
