Kick off the weekend early with a Chaffey home game! We will organize a special "Class of ’66" section for everyone attending.
Friday, October 23 – Informal Gathering
Join us for an informal, no-host get-together at JD Allison Bar and Grill, 291 North 2nd Avenue, Upland, CA starting at 4:00PM. Owner Lauren Allison-Hendrix is the daughter of our late classmates Joyce (Vaughn) Allison and L. Duane Allison. The Bar and Grill is named in their honor. Please indicate your interest when you sign up so we can get an accurate headcount.
Saturday, October 24 – Campus Tour, Historic Home of George Chaffey with BYO Picnic & Main Event
- 9:00 AM: Coffee and donuts at the Chaffey High Campus.
- 9:30 AM: Welcome and a nostalgic slideshow in the Library.
- 10:00 AM: Walk through the CHS History Museum.
- 10:30 AM – Noon: Full campus tour, including the GWS Auditorium, North Hall, the "old plunge" site, and a group photo on the football field.
Historic Chaffey Home Tour and BYO Picnic: - Noon - 3:00PM: The Etiwanda Historical Society is hosting us with a BYO picnic and tour of the restore home of the founder of Chaffey High and Ontario, George Chaffey.
The Chaffey Garcia House was built in 1874 and is located at 7150 Etiwanda Ave. It is curated to show how the Chaffey's would have lived in the home.
https://www.etiwandahistoricalsociety.org/general-cleanTours of the home are included. The fee would be $10 each and you can pay on the date. We have ample scholarship funds to cover it too, so just let Bill know. They also include a Picnic area where we can socialize over a BYO lunch.
If it's ready by then (it's tented for termites right now), the tour would include the adjoining Chaffey-Isle House. The Chaffey-Isle House, a sister house built by George Chaffey Jr., for his mother and his sister in 1884.
https://www.etiwandahistoricalsociety.org/about-3How this would work is after the Campus tour, which ends at Noon, you could head directly over to the property at 7150 Etiwanda Ave, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739, it's about a 20 minute drive away. There are ample delis, fast food places, etc. between Chaffey and the venue to pick up a picnic on your way. We would have our tours and picnic until 3PM so classmates can have an opportunity to rest a bit and prepare for the party which starts at 5PM.
Lunch recommendations: Old Town Baking Company at 8631 Baseline Road, Rancho Cucamonga (909) 945-0400 comes highly recommended. You can order your sandwiches customized to your liking on their website https://order.chownow.com/order/5213/locations/6767 to have them ready to pickup to save time. They have Veggie options available online, but if you want gluten free, you need to call them to order. Be sure to pick the Rancho Cucamonga location and not the San Bernardino one if calling.
Directions: From Chaffey you drive up Euclid to 16th, turn right and drive to Carnelian and Baseline (16th same Street). The bakery is in center to the south, then back in baseline all the way out Etiwanda Avenue; turn left you will see the Chaffey house on your left. - 5:00 PM – 9:30 PM: Reunion Dinner at the Doubletree Ontario Airport (222 N Vineyard Ave).
Sunday, October 25 – Farewell Wrap-Up Lunch
1:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Sue (LeGrand) Coes has once again graciously volunteered her lovely home and yard for our final lunch. We are currently exploring caterers, but our tentative choice is a great Mexican caterer "Felipe". He catered for Bill's Tiger of the Year luncheon back in 2004 and his food is very good! We will post an updated menu once things are settled. This lunch is included in your registration fee at no extra charge.
Saturday Party Menu & Dietary Options
Our Saturday dinner features a choice of Rosemary Infused Chicken, Grilled Flat Iron Steak, or Wild Mushroom Ravioli. We are happy to provide Vegan and Gluten-Free alternatives for all meals—simply let us know your requirements when you register.
Registration & Scholarships
Total Cost: $65 per person (includes dinner, Sunday lunch, and all scheduled activities except the tour of the Chaffey House).
Scholarships: We want every classmate to be able to attend regardless of financial circumstances. To keep costs low, we are using remaining funds from past reunions to subsidize this event. If you need a registration scholarship, please email Bill Finkelstein at
Why This Year is Special
As we reach this 60th milestone, many of us feel this may be our last "large-scale" formal reunion. We hope to make this a truly memorable gathering before transitioning to smaller, informal meetups (arranged by someone besides Bill) in the future.

Are your friends among the Missing? Please help us find them!
- Details
Our email newsletters always turn up new missing persons. Classmates retired and we only had a work email, they changed their email address and didn't let us know, they either didn't have a phone number on file with us, they moved and changed it, or finally sadly some classmates passed away and we didn't hear about it.
Please! If you can help us find our missing classmates your efforts would be greatly appreciated!
- Bill Finkelstein, CHS '66 Reunion chairman.
As a reunion committee we take great pride in the positive feedback we get from classmates who have attended earlier reunions. We also take negative comments to heart and do whatever we can to correct problems.
The one comment we hear far too often is “gee, I wish (fill in the name) had been here.” Trust us we wish they had been there, too. Please keep in mind that we would love to be able to personally contact everyone but we simply do not have the resources to do so. Therefore, if there is anyone (a classmate, a member of another 1966 era CHS class or a teacher) who you would want to spend some time with at the reunion please feel free to contact them, pass on the information and invite them to attend.
You can see the list of classmates that we've been unable to locate on our Missing Persons Page. Get the word out to your friends on social media whenever you can. If there are folks who you want to see but don’t have a way to contact please let us know. We’ll do everything we can to obtain contact information and personally reach out to let them know they are remembered and missed.
If you do find them, they can
As of June 18, 2026 we still have 330 missing classmates. You can make a big difference!
